Real Estate Auctions
I will be holding a real estate auction in Summersville, WV on May 2, 2014 and since I started advertising it, my phone has rang off the hook! Many calls have been inquiries about the auction itself, but many calls have also been questions on how to have a real estate auction. Here is a brief review of some FAQ:
Q: Can I have a real estate auction?
A: Any person who owns real property can have a real estate auction?
Q: Who can I hire to have a real estate auction?
A: The person conducting the real estate auction must hold a valid and active WV Real Estate license AND a valid and active WV auctioneer license. (I am the only person in Nicholas County able to perform a real estate auction).
Q: How long does a real estate auction take?
A: I like to have 2 months to advertise, then we allow 45 days for financing.
